What happened:

The battle between Draven and the party began. Draven conjured up several undead creatures to slow the party down. The party fought the undead. Zel used her bow and Nyx used Eldritch blast to start attacking Draven. Tasha tried to help the party, but her spell bounced back and killed her. Tink rushed over to bring her back. Draven began to shadow step around the room. Burton and Draven bantered with each other through out the battle. Alustriel and Tasha were too wounded to fight, so Malania dragged them away from the fight. Draven sent most of his bigger attacks towards Burton. The party continued to fight the undead as Draven would continue to bring them back. Draven counter spelled Tink's Spiritual Guardians, then Nyx counter spelled his counter spell. Grombo raged. Draven dispelled Magic on the spiritual guardians. Grombo threw some javelins at Draven. Nyx took Draven out with her eldritch blast.

Tasha and Alustriel meet back with the party. When questioned they answer everything. They had no idea that Kas was masquerading as Mordenkainen. They insist the party chase after Kas immediately to prevent him from freeing Miska the Wolf Spider, a powerful demon lord who was trapped in Pandesmos eons ago using the rod. Kas and Miska would then march against Vecna, co-opting the lich-god’s ritual to begin their reign of terror across the multiverse.

Before the characters leave the sanctum, Alustriel suggests the characters use the Chime of Exile to return Kas to Tovag, his Domain of Dread. Tasha offers to use the last of her magic to restore the party to full health and restore spell slots (as if a long rest).

The group emerges on a shelf of a massive cliff in Pandesmos. There are five large geysers at the cavern floor. They also see 4 demons on the cliff below them. Nyx decides to talk to them and see if they have seen Kas. The demons attack. Grombo decides to take on two degloths solo while the rest of the party focuses on the two vlazoks. Grombo gets grappled and takes damage (this happens several times in a row). The rest of the group trade blows with the vlazoks. Tink casts spiritual guardians.

Eventually the two vlazoks go down and the party rallies to Grombo's aid. Together they all fight the degloths. Zel is grappled, but she misty steps out and attacks again. Eventually, Nyx takes out the first degloth right before it grapples her. The last demon cries out for mercy. It bargains for it's life and tells the party that the vampire went northwest towards the sounds of battle. Grombo wants revenge for being attacked so much. Tink agrees and attacks. Burton gives the final blow to the demon.

The party heads northwest towards the sounds of battle.
