What happened:

The party was separated. Tink, Nyx, Burton, and their new friend, Vogren, are in a library fighting stone skeleton statues. Zel and Grombo are fighting a treant. Both groups start taking damage. Vogren casts Sanctuary on his new friend, Nyx. Tink throws up Spiritual Guardians. Vogren goes down twice, but is brought back by the party. Everyone continues to battle in their separate groups.

Zel eventually does non-lethal damage and the treant is unconscious. Nyx and Burton are taking heavy damage as Tink uses up more of his spell slots, but they continue to attack the stone statues. Burton takes out the first stone statue.

Zel believes the treant is cursed. Grombo and Zel decide to find the rest of the party to see if any of them can remove the curse. They go through the same portal their friends went through.

When they arrive they see the party in full combat with 5 stone statues and run in to help. Nyx takes out the second stone statue. Tink mass heals the party. The battle continues back and forth. Tink takes out the third stone statue. Zel takes out the fourth statue and Tink takes out the final one.

The party takes a short rest to heal up while Zel and Grombo explain about the treant and the wand they found.

Grombo takes the lead and follows a tunnel headed west. He walks into a room full of pitch darkness. He becomes frightened and takes damage. Zel is frustrated. Grombo comes back out and the group decides to find a different path.

To the south there are double doors with masks on them. There is a script that reads, "Pay the toll, in blood or in song". Burton attempts to sing to open the doors, but nothing happens. He tries a second time with his harp and doors open.

Inside there are 8 musical weapons on the walls. Burton walks up to the first one and is hit with psychic damage when one of the instruments starts to glow purple.. Nyx runs up and is also hit with psychic damage from a different glowing instrument. The two keep walking through the hallway, activating the instruments. Grombo and Tink think that Burton is going to kill himself if he keeps doing this. So they run in and activate the last two magical traps.

Tink walks into the next room. He finds a jade statue depicting an armored feminine figure from the waist up, with six arms and gleaming curved sword in each hand; from the waist down the statue's body is serpentine. There are two statues depicting large cobras with jade scale sitting in alcoves to the east.
