What happened:

The party is separated and on their own paths, when they are magically teleported to Sigil. There they meet three wizards: Alustriel Silverhand, Mordenkainen, and Tasha. Alustriel explains to the party that their arrival to Sigil is because of a failed wish spell. When Alustriel hears that the party has ties to Vecna, that their fates must be somehow interwoven with Vecna. Upon hearing about Veylen, Alustriel and Tasha talk about Veylen's prophecy. Alustriel believes that the party being teleported to Sigil must also be partly because of Veylen's prophecy. Tasha is unsure about the prophecy being true or not. Party notices that the Wizards Three seem tired and weak; that their wish spell expended a great deal of arcane energy.

Mordenkainen shares a contingency plan. That if Vecna could be weakened, then the Chime of Exile could be used on him and Vecna's plan to remake the multiverse would fail. Mordenkainen believes that there is an artifact that can weaken Vecna called the Rod of Seven Parts. Unfortunately, it's pieces have been scattered across existence. Mordenkainen knows that the first piece of the rod is deep in the Underdark, somewhere inside a safe house for worshippers of Lolth, called Web's Edge.

Burton asks if the wizards have anything to help the party on this journey. Alustriel offers up a rare magic item to each player to help them with their journey.

The party is also able to use Alustriel's vast library to research any esoteric topic. Tink starts to research the Rod of Seven Parts. Nyx looks up Lolth and Web's Edge. Burton looks up some books on self-help (finding a rare copy of Zen Silverkin's only self-help book, "The Arcane Art of Personal Ascendance: A Definitive Treatise on Transmuting Inner Weakness into Heroic Potency Through the Esoteric Principles of Self-Mastery, Mindful Swordplay, and Moderate Alcohol Consumption in the Realms of Men and Monsters" - Yes, it is a really long title). Zelanis looks up a book on the Theories of Advanced Investigation.

After researching, the party takes a long rest before heading to Web's Edge.
