What happened:

The party interrogates two cultists at the cult's safe house. One of the cultists breaks down and reveals that Kaelen Drevorr is leader of the cult in Neverwinter. He also informs the party that Kaelen is currently at the safe house and on the second floor. Tink is visibly upset at hearing Kaelen's name. Tink reveals to the party that Kaelen was always competing with Tink, but that Kaelen has dark motivations and dabbled in evil magic. The party forces the helpful cultist to show them exactly were Kaelen is. The other cultist is killed.

The party heads upstairs to find more cultists to fight. The party is able to swiftly defeat this batch of cultists. The helpful cultist then cries out for Kaelen who is in the next room. Tink goes straight into the room that Kaelen is in. In the room is two more cultists, a nothic, and Kaelen. A huge battle breaks out. Kaelen admits to killing the party's headmaster, Altharion Veylen. He says that Veylen was weak, that Vecna has more power then Veylen ever had, and is going to share that power with Kaelen. Kaelen also shares that Vecna is trying to remake the multiverse in his own image.

Slowly the party starts to fall one by one. Tink uses healing spells to only see his friends fall again at the hand of Kaelen. Kaelen laughs at Tink says he should give up now. Tink pulls out the dagger that was found at Veylen's murder and swears that he will kill Kaelen with the same weapon that Kaelen used to kill Veylen. Tink kills Kaelen and the party is revived.

The cult's safe house was the last remanent of the Cult of Vecna in Neverwinter. Lord Neverember thanks the party and gifts each member 100 gold.

A few months will pass after this event. The houses that Neverember promised are fixed up like new and available to the party.
