Gerrin Voss

Info
Race: Elf
Profession: Thief
Background
Gerrin Voss was once a bright-eyed elf from a respected artisan family in Neverwinter. His mother was a renowned glassblower, and his father a skilled musician who played in the courts of nobles. Gerrin was expected to follow in their creative footsteps—but he had no talent for either craft. Instead, he dreamed of adventure, glory, and riches.
When Gerrin was still young, his family’s home and workshop were destroyed in a mysterious fire. Investigators blamed faulty alchemical supplies, but Gerrin always believed it was arson—a rival guild or jealous noble trying to ruin his parents. They died in the blaze, and Gerrin, orphaned and disillusioned, was taken in by street urchins and petty criminals.
Gerrin once asked Altharion Veylen if he could become a student at the Wardens' Order of Research and Mysteries. Veylen did not accept him as a student and turned him away.
Desperate to belong, Gerrin tried to join one of Neverwinter’s thieves’ guilds, but his clumsiness and poor judgment made him the target of constant ridicule. Despite years on the streets, Gerrin never became a competent thief. But what he lacked in skill, he made up for with bitterness. He convinced himself the world had been stacked against him from the start.
Now, Gerrin lives in the shadows, blaming everyone—nobles, guilds, adventurers—for his misfortunes. He lashes out not for profit, but out of spite. He has started working for the cult of Vecna. They promised him power and ways to punish the people Gerrin believes has wronged him.
He was caught by the party and intimidated/charmed into taking them to the cult of Vecna.
