Background

Riffel is searching the grotto for a fresh peylon fruit. He explains that he is a member of a group called the Blue Fire Wardens: naturalists who oppose the death knight Lord Soth. The wardens recently attempted to besiege a group of Soth’s followers in a keep called the Three Moons Vault, but the attack failed. Riffel and his fellow survivors fled to the nearby wetlands, but then were attacked by a violent monster.
