Background

Figaro is the first mate of the Lambent Zenith. He went mad when Ilren repeated modified his memories. Figaro was healed by Cirit and the party, once Ilren was defeated.

He fears the captain to be dead.

Figaro tells the party that the Lambent Zenith was powered by a magical rod, it is near the bridge, and that it is protected by two powerful ward runes. He tells the party where the two ward runes are, one in this room and one in the study on another piece of the ship wreck.

Figaro admits he knew about the dangers of this stretch of Astral Sea but didn’t warn the captain, since this route was economical and Figaro believed it would be easy for the crew to traverse.
